Cathy Demko’s art career covers almost forty years. Her vibrant paintings adorn homes, museums, offices, and studios worldwide. They are showcased in the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion and featured in the Arkansas Engagement Calendar. Her portrait of Governor Mike Beebe is now part of the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion’s permanent collection. She is an Official United States Coast Guard artist. Oil Painters of America juried her in the top eighteen percent of oil painters in America. Her art has been utilized as an official United States Post Office Cancellation Stamp. National Arts for the Parks juried her in the top 200 American artists. American Society of Marine Artist juried Cathy’s art as one of the top twenty in Florida.
Early in Cathy’s career she was blessed to be tutored and guided by many acclaimed artist: Ramon Kelly, Gerald Merfeld, Charles Sovek, E. John Robinson, Tibor Bartifay, Charles Vickery, Frank Webb, Gary Jenkins, Lois Griffel, Charles Gruppe and Nita Engle.
Her schooling at Cape Cod School of Art, Scottsdale Artist School, Design Masters of California, Dillmans Creative Arts and Rockport Art Association created a lasting ability for masterful application.
Cathy splits her time between Hardy, Arkansas; Sedona, Arizona and Naples, Florida. She continues to travel, teach and paint in all mediums, and jury art shows.
